The diocese has designated the Victim Assistance Coordinator who receives notifications of all allegations of child sexual abuse to promptly inform the alleged victim of his/her rights and obligations, and to organize and direct timely and responsive pastoral care provided by the diocese.
The Diocese of Syracuse will offer pastoral care to individuals who have experienced sexual abuse by a member of the clergy in the past or present, the individual's immediate families, and the affected faith communities and will work to promote safe, healthy communities of faith.
