Safe Environment Week

For website

The Diocese of Syracuse is celebrating its 8th annual Safe Environment Week! Safe Environment Week is a time to recognize our clergy, members of religious orders, employees, volunteers, and so many others in the community who work together toward a common goal: to prevent sexual abuse, not only in our parishes, schools, or agencies but also in our neighborhoods and communities.

On behalf of Most Rev. Douglas J. Lucia,  the Diocesan Safe Environment Committee, and the Office of Safe Environment,  we extend our sincerest gratitude to all who remain committed and vigilant in our collective efforts to protect our children, young people, and vulnerable adults from harm.

To promote this important week, all students across the diocese, especially our Catholic School and Faith Formation students, are invited to display their creativity by participating in our coloring contest:  #JesusLovesMe.   Click here for more information.
