Ordination

With praise and thanksgiving to Almighty God, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse joyfully announces the Ordination of John Francis Brusa III and Joseph Paul Ryan to the Sacred Order of Priesthood through the laying on of hands and the invocation of the Holy Spirit by his excellency the Most Reverend Douglas J. Lucia, Bishop of Syracuse.

All are welcome to attend on Saturday, June 7th, 10 AM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Downtown Syracuse. There is convenient parking at the Oncenter lot located at 400-408 Harrison St., Syracuse, NY 13202. The rate is $7.00 per car. (Please note: The Taste of Syracuse will be taking place in Downtown Syracuse this weekend. Please be sure to allow extra time for traffic delays, street closings and parking.)

For those who cannot attend in person, we invite you to join us via live stream on the Diocesan YouTube channel and encourage your continued prayers for John Brusa III and Joseph Ryan as they enter the priesthood.

Holy Hour Prayer Vigil for Priesthood Ordinations

Our entire diocesan family is invited to a Holy Hour for Vocations that will be offered for the intentions of Rev. Mr. John Brusa III and Rev. Mr. Joseph Ryan on Friday, June 6th from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Holy Family Church in Fairmount. Please join the Office of Vocations on the Vigil of the Rite of Ordination to the Sacred Priesthood. This Holy Hour will include Exposition, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Solemn Vespers, and Benediction. Join our seminarians in prayer as they as "the master of the harvest to sed out laborers for his harvest". The Holy Hour will be live streamed by the parish if you are unable to join us in person.
