Wednesday, February 27, 2013 - Syracuse

Most Rev. Robert J. Cunningham will celebrate a Mass in Thanksgiving for Pope Benedict XVI at 12:10pm in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday, February 28, 2013.   In a recent letter to Pope Benedict XVI, Bishop Cunningham thanked him for his eight years of Petrine Ministry and assured him that the faithful of the Diocese of Syracuse would join in prayer for him on his day of resignation.  Parishes across the diocese will also remember Pope Benedict XVI in their Masses tomorrow.    A Mass will also be held at the beginning of the conclave in which the College of Cardinals meets in seclusion to vote for a new Pope.
