A logo (brand mark) is a visual representation or symbol that embodies the essence, identity, and values of an organization or community. It is a distinctive and memorable image that encapsulates the core attributes and messaging of the entity it represents. Logos serve as a powerful tool for instant recognition, creating a visual connection between the organization and its audience.
Logos should be used consistently across all materials (where appropriate), whether printed or digital, to maintain a unified and professional image.
The original proportions and aspect ratio for the logo must be maintained to ensure its integrity. At no time should the logo be stretched or distorted.
Do not alter, modify, or manipulate the logo in any way, including changing colors, rearranging elements, or adding effects.
Use alternate versions of the logo as appropriate to maintain legibility on different backgrounds or materials.
Logos may only be used for official communications, events, and materials and should not be used for personal or unrelated purposes. Those wishing to utilize logos on salable merchandise must contact the Diocese to obtain permission and ensure proper usage.
Additional information for rules of use can be found in our Branding/Style Guide in the next section.
Our brand/style guide serves as a comprehensive and cohesive roadmap that outlines the visual and communicative elements that define our organization's identity. It provides a clear set of guidelines and standards for how the Diocese should be represented across various mediums, ensuring consistency, recognition, and a strong sense of identity.
