Syracuse, NY - The Diocese of Syracuse is proud to announce the launch of SOLIS, a quarterly magazine and the newest publication of The Catholic Sun, the diocesan newspaper that has been the cornerstone of Catholic journalism for 132 years.
The inaugural issue of SOLIS was released in October of this year and featured a native film star who continues to give back to her home parish each summer, childhood friends who embarked on a pilgrimage together, an Honor Flight veteran, and more.
SOLIS offers readers a fresh and engaging way to stay connected with the Catholic community across Central New York. Each issue of the magazine will feature compelling stories, vivid photography, and thoughtful reflections, showcasing the vibrancy of faith, service, and tradition within the Diocese of Syracuse.
“All of us on the Diocese of Syracuse communications team have strived to put our best foot forward with something new and exciting for readers throughout the seven-county region.” says editor Deacon Tom Cuskey in his letter from the editor. “Unlike The Catholic Sun and our digital and social media products that feature news and information about timely events, SOLIS is intended to be of a different pace. Features of people and places that make a difference in our diocese will be our primary focus.”
SOLIS will be distributed quarterly to current subscribers of The Catholic Sun and donors to the Annual Hope Appeal. To learn more or to subscribe, visit thecatholicsun.com or contact their office at 315-422-8153.
