Hope Appeal Materials

The HOPE Appeal is the annual fundraising campaign conducted by the Diocese to support vital diocesan-wide programs and services--programs and services that the parishes are not able to provide on their own.

Your gifts to the Annual HOPE Appeal have done so much for the people of our diocese. Your willingness to share your blessings with others allows us to serve the poor, strengthen our ministries, educate our young and comfort the ill and the lonely.

Your HOPE Appeal donation helps us serve hundreds of thousands of people throughout our seven county diocese. For example, you help to feed the hungry and clothe the poor, providing over 65,000 meals to the hungry. You help prepare our children for the sacraments, providing support for the catechists who instruct 30,000 students annually. The HOPE Appeal benefits more than 6,000 children who attend Catholic Schools in our diocese.

You help to bring comfort to the sick and the homebound through Masses for shut-ins and 29,000 visits to the sick by Hospital Chaplains. And you help foster and promote vocations to the priesthood. A significant part of your gifts are returned to parishes to support food pantries, youth programs and senior services.
