CCHD is a department of the USCCB. It is the Church's domestic response to address the root causes of poverty in the USA. CCHD of Syracuse is funded by a portion of the CCHD second collection in November. Using a national grant process low income groups can apply for economic development or organizing grants to respond to the root causes of poverty in their community.
